Gingerbread Protein Donuts with Chocolate Maple Glaze

Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup almond meal
  2. 2 scoops natural protein powder {code LEXI for 10% off}
  3. 1/4 tsp baking soda
  4. 1/3 cup unsweetened pure organic applesauce
  5. 3 tbsp raw honey + 1 tsp
  6. Pinch of salt
  7. 3 eggs
  8. 3 tbsp coconut oil
  9. 2 tbsp molasses
  10. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  11. 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  12. 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  13. 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  14. 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Maple Glaze
  1. 1/4 cup dark chocolate, melted
  2. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. 2. Spray donut pan
  3. 3. In a bowl combine dry ingredients, add in wet and mix well
  4. 4. Fill your donut pans halfway
  5. 5. Bake for 15 minutes until firm
  6. 6. Glaze: melt chocolate, add in maple syrup and stir
  7. 7. Dip donuts into glaze and let set on cooling rack
Notes
  1. Chocolate chips mixed in would be a great addition!
