Beyond the Kitchen

Hi beauties! I’ve been thinking about starting a weekly or monthly blog post called Loving Lately where I share a whole ton of things going on in my life, things I’m loving, things people are loving from LCK, things from around the web, and ALL THAT FUN STUFF. I just want to be able to connect with you more and think this is a great opportunity to do so!

Life Lately:

The past few weeks have been madness. I’ve been traveling lots and doing doing doing Starting with my bachelorette party in Puerto Rico, Mike’s birthday celebrations, to this past weekend being downtown in Boston for a blogger weekend with some fabulous, inspiring ladies. It’s been busy and fun, and I’m grateful.

El San Juan Hotel

We stayed at the El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico. I’d say this hotel is geared towards a friends weekend, rather than a quiet family destination, from my experience. We had the absolute best time. My favorite restaurant we ate at was Santaella in San Juan. I highly recommend it! 

Fenway Park with Mastercard
We celebrated Mike’s birthday weekend seeing Cirque de Soleil: Kurios, which was incredible. I can’t believe human bodies can move like that. They work HARD and man, are they talented, beautiful, and graceful. We then went to Fenway Park for a Red Sox game (they won) with my friends from MasterCard as part of a #PricelessBoston campaign. Take away: Suite life is really, really nice. It was a really, really great weekend.

Bloggers Do Boston
If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you saw scenes from this past weekend where I spent time in Boston with this amazing group of inspiring women. Some of these ladies I knew going into the weekend, and many I met for the first time. We had the absolute best weekend. We ate, we danced, we laughed, we spa-ed (new word?), and we enjoyed fabulous weather with a great summer weekend in Boston! I simply can’t say enough about these amazing and talented people. 

We stayed at the most fabulous hotel in Boston: Lenox Hotel. It’s my absolute favorite.

We ate fabulous food- here’s a quick rundown: Pier 6 (Seafood dinner), The Beehive (Brunch- they have live music), Barcelona (Tapas style and awesome cocktails), Envoy Outlook (Really cool spot, delicious brunch).

We explored: Newbury Street, went to a spin class at Recycle Studio, had a perfect spa afternoon at Balan’s Organic Spa, and went shopping at the insanely awesome Lindt store.

Garden

Now I’m back to editing the cookbook, 4th of July weekend, and WEDDING planning. We’re 7 weeks out from the wedding! WHOA. If you have wedding advice for me, I wanna hear it. 

In other news, Mike built me garden beds this year and LOOK! A TOMATO has arrived. Well, the start of a tomato. I’m way too excited!
