I often get asked about my pantry staples, and how to save money while stocking a clean kitchen. I shop at a variety of stores to get the best deals and the best quality products, so here are a handful of things I buy cheaper at Trader Joe’s!

Trader Joe's Favorites

There are currently 465 locations of Trader Joe’s in the U.S. and there are only eight states with no Trader Joe’s locations, including: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Montana, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

What is Trader Joe’s known for?

What don’t I buy at Trader Joe’s?

I personally don’t usually buy meat and a ton of produce at Trader Joe’s.

  1. Please bring back the wasabi flavored rice chips! They are the best! Also, would like Trader Joes to start carrying Delverde Tagliatelle spinach bundles, possibly other Delverde pasta and sauces as well..

  2. GF rolled oats, Organic Flaxseed Meal, gf instant Oatmeal packets, French Trader Jacques butter, organic heavy whipping cream, gf bagels, they have a great egg salad I get for a quick lunch idea, frozen shrimp

  3. I’m imagining several of those ingredients being perfect for those converting to the smoothie bowl craze at the moment.

Coconut cream, maple syrup, nuts, frozen berries.

    Very tasty and healthy indeed.

  4. I always get frozen cauliflower rice- it’s my favorite for easy dinners! I also love the parmesan sprinkles that they’ve had recently. Put those on everything!

  5. The curried chicken salad and nan wraps – 4 sandy’s under $7 a great on the go grab for an impromptu to picnic.

  6. Wow. Consider me seriously jealous of all you lucky ducks living in the US. Aside from the fact we can’t even get some of these items at all, those we can are noticably more expensive (i.e. that amount of coocnut sugar would be ~ 8.50 $ over here and don’t even ask about nut butters … ). If/when I (ever) get to the US Trader Joes will be seriously dangerous for me ;).

  7. the everything bagel seasoning is great. i put it on chicken cutlets with some mustard, bake and done. delish.

  8. I’ve recently become a fan of their frozen acai smoothie packets. I also found a bag of hemp hearts for a good price on my last visit. Their selection of frozen veggies is great (I love keeping the mushroom medley and Melodious Blend on hand for easy sides or mushroom toast). And they have great prices on canned coconut milk and cheeses (for those who eat dairy).

I just wish their produce section didn’t have so much packaging!

  9. Their entire nut butter aisle for sure! 😉 I love buying my nut butters at TJ’s!
