I am in love with figs all summer long. Black figs, tiger figs, you name it. They are just so gorgeous and delicious. They are like healthy candy and they’re perfect on this pizza! The crust is the perfect all-purpose gluten-free and grain-free crust that everyone will love! The homemade BBQ sauce will be a favorite all season long.

Toppings Use on this Gluten Free Pizza:

  • Figs
  • Onions
  • Walnuts
  • Honey
  • Extra-virgin olive oil 

If you wanted to make this a little bit more hearty you could add on:

  • Crispy bacon
  • Crumbled chorizo
  • Prosciutto

Ingredients
  1. One batch pizza crust (recipe  here)
  2. 5-6 figs, sliced
  3. 2 onions, sliced
  4. 2-3 tbsp grass-fed butter
  5. 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  6. 2-4 tbsp raw honey
  7. 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (code LEXI for 10% off)
  8. 1/2 tsp himalayan pink sea salt
Optional meat additions
  1. crispy bacon
  2. crumbled chorizo
  3. prosciutto
Instructions
  1. Make pizza crust as directed in post with no toppings (omit garlic granules and Italian seasoning)
  2. In a skillet heat butter and add in sliced onions let cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, until they cook down and brown
  3. While cooking, slice figs
  4. Once the pizza is done, drizzle 2 tbsp oil over
  5. Add caramelized onions, figs, walnuts, and honey
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve

The perfect healthier Summer dessert. If you’ve never grilled bananas, you need to start with these! Lightly sweetened and topped with a flavorful chocolate sauce for the perfect grilled treat.

Ingredients
  1. 4 Bananas
  2. 2-3 tbsp raw honey
For the Chocolate Mocha Sauce
  1. 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  2. 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
  3. 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  4. 1 cup full-fat canned coconut milk
  5. 2 tbsp freshly brewed coffee
  6. Optional: 2 tsp cinnamon
  7. 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
  1. Heat grill to medium heat
  2. Slice bananas length wise, leaving skin on
  3. Place sliced side down on the grill for 3-4 minutes
  4. Flip, brush with honey, then let grill for an additional 3-4 minutes
  5. While cooking place cocoa powder, chocolate, coconut sugar, and coconut milk in a saucepan
  6. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and add in coffee and spices
  7. Let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often
  8. Drizzle over bananas and serve

  1. Would be PERFECT on top of some fresh dairy-free ice cream or over chia pudding!

Ginger Infused Honey Lemonade Cocktails

These little honey vodka drink packs a whole lot of refreshing flavors; of ginger, honey, and lemon. Plus, an additional kick of vodka, because hey, sometimes we want to spice things up a bit. Leave out the vodka for a delicious lemonade beverage.

This simple and refreshing Lemon, Ginger and Honey Vodka Cocktail is simple and delicious. The ginger infused honey really amps up the flavor on this vodka cocktail. You could also use the ginger infused honey for lemonade!

How to Make Ginger Infused Honey:

There are two ways:

  1. You can cook the ginger and honey together over a double boiler for about an hour. Be sure to check the water levels periodically so that the water doesn’t evaporate.
  2. Or you can simple placed the crystallized ginger in the honey for a few days, or indefinitely.

Ginger Infused Honey Lemon Cocktails
Serves 4

Ginger-infused honey
  1. 1 cup raw honey
  2. 1/3 cup crystallized or candied ginger
Everything else
  1. 1 large lemon, juiced
  2. Tito's Vodka (or other gluten-free vodka), adjust amount based on desired strength
  3. Ice cubes
1. Make ginger-infused honey
  1. -Use a double broiler (or a small pot inside a larger pot)
  2. -Add 1/3 cup water to the bottom of the double broiler
  3. -In the smaller pot at the top, add honey and ginger
  4. -Bring water (not honey) to a boil- bring honey temperature to 160 for 60 minutes (you don't have to sit and watch the whole time)
  5. *Watch water and add as needed
  6. -Once done, transfer to a clean air-tight jar and place in the fridge or leave out and let cool
  7. **Alternatively, you can place ginger in the honey and seal tight for 3-5 days if you plan in advance.
2. Assemble cocktail
  1. -Using a shaker glass, place 4-6 shots Tito's vodka, 1/2 cup cold water, 4 ice cubes, lemon juice, and 3 tbsp infused honey (more to taste)
  2. 3. Garnish with additional candied ginger and lemon
Notes
  1. This will make way more honey than one batch of cocktails, so you can make more, or add it to your tea!
  2. Leave out the vodka for a delicious lemonade beverage!
