These Crispy Baked Buffalo Wings are the perfect appetizer recipe for football Sunday or Super Bowl! They are crispy with frying, and are a great lightened up version of your classic fried buffalo chicken wings!

You can’t have a Superbowl party without wings (in my opinion)! You can though, have them crispy and flavorful without being fried. I visited friends at the University of Buffalo years back. We, of course, got the famous Buffalo wings and as you can imagine they were fabulous.

Baked Wings with Buffalo Sauce

In college I was a big fan of Wings over Amherst (these are not healthy). I definitely still think about those fried boneless wings (and the cajun cheese fries). Many of my friends ordered honey mustard, BBQ, garlic parmesan… me? Give me Buffalo any day of the week.

Can you bake chicken wings?

The tip I found years back that I love (and successfully tried with my Sweet Potato Chili Fries), is placing a wire rack on the baking sheet. Gets everything nice and crisp!

Can you use chicken legs or chicken thighs?

Yes! Just adjust cooking time and sauce amount as needed.

This easy-to-make Slow Cooker White Chicken Chili is perfect for a big gathering, for a make-ahead freezer meal, or for meal prep! With chicken breasts, beans and peppers, it is comfort food, lightened-up. It’s made easily in the slow cooker or Instant Pot and easily customizable by adding on all your favorite toppings. It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and Paleo-friendly.

Traditional White Chicken Chili has a creamy base using cream cheese or heavy cream. For this recipe, I wanted all the same flavors but keeping it light. This makes it the perfect soup for both summer and winter, while still being great comfort food. The best part of the chili is you can customize to your liking, some days I’ll add more vegetables based on what’s in season or what I have on hand! ou can also make this fit to your dietary needs by omitting the beans and making this Whole30 compliant and Paleo. And of course, you get to choose the toppings to customize your dietary needs.

What to Serve with White Chicken Chili

You can totally add on what you want! Here are some of our favorites:

This soup is perfect as a freezer meal. Before you freeze, make sure to fully cool. Then, when cool, place in your choice of storage container. We either freeze in mason jars (making sure to leave at least 1″ of room for expansion) for individual portions or freezer bags. When placing in freezer bags, initially lay flat when freezing, then once frozen you can move for long-term storage.

To reheat: fully defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Or, if you don’t have time to fully defrost soups or other foods that you can reheat on the stove top, you can place the container in a bowl of warm water until the food can easily pop out of the container. Once you are able to get it out, place the freezer meal contents in a pot with about 1/2 cup water. Cover the pot and cook over medium to medium-low while stirring semi-frequently. Once the entire meal has defrosted, bring the contents up to a boil to make sure it’s fully reheated.

Sliders are a super fun, and super easy football snack that can be totally customizable. This year I’m thinking of making a slider BAR! I’ll put out the sweet potato skins, have everyone make a few of them, toss them in the oven for the remaining 8-10 minutes and BOOM! Superbowl Slider Bar!

Or… just make a few of these as directed for an awesome appetizer that will fly off your serving tray. Guilt-free deliciousness.
