These Watermelon Margaritas are the perfect summer drink! They’re made with freshly made watermelon juice, lime juice, tequila, cointreau, and an optional jalapeño for some extra heat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Roughly 6 ounces fresh watermelon juice (from about 2 cups chopped watermelon, blended and strained)
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce Cointreau
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice (1 large lime)
  • Ice, as needed
  • Optional: 2 thinly sliced jalapeño rounds for a kick!

Instructions

  1. Make the watermelon juice: Add fresh, seedless watermelon cubes to a blender and process until smooth. Strain out the pulp and store in a jar or container!
  2. Combine: To a shaker, add watermelon juice, tequila, lime, cointreau, ice, and the optional jalapeño slices.
  3. Shake: Shake vigorously to combine.
  4. Salt the rim (optional): Take a lime or lemon wedge and rub it along the rim, and then dip it into the salt.
  5. Pour into glasses with extra ice, and serve immediately.
