Homemade Almond Butter

Homemade Almond Butter is so easy to make, using just two ingredients, at home! It's more cost-effective and ensures you know exactly goes into your almond butter. We're sharing all our tips for making it and sharing some fun ways to use it, as well.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups raw unsalted whole almonds
  • Pinch of fine sea salt

Instructions

  • Roast almonds at 350ºF until fragrant, about 10 minutes. Be careful not to burn.
  • Let the almonds cool just slightly, until just barely warm.
  • Add almonds to a food processor or high powered blender.
  • Process until a fine powder forms, scrape down the sides, and let the machine rest for 30 seconds.
  • Process for another 3 minutes, let rest 30 seconds. 
  • Repeat until almond butter forms, taking care to let the machine rest if it starts to get overworked.
  • Store almond butter in a jar at room temperature, about 1 month.
