Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats see note
  • ½ cup store-bought eggnog
  • ½ cup milk-of-choice
  • 2 teaspoons chia seed
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans optional
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries optional

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients into a jar and mix well to combine.
  • Place in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 3 hours or overnight. Serve cold with additional chopped pecans, if desired.

Notes

  1. Make sure to buy gluten-free oats if you need to avoid gluten. While oats don't contain any gluten, they can sometimes be processed in the same facility / equipment as wheat products.
  2. Use whatever milk your family enjoys, such as almond milk, oat milk or dairy milk. If you use only eggnog, the oats will be too thick.
  3. Now not all eggnog is "clean" but you can use a cleaner version, like Malk Organics, or use whatever eggnog you'd like. 'Tis the season!
