- 1 cup rolled oats see note
- ½ cup store-bought eggnog
- ½ cup milk-of-choice
- 2 teaspoons chia seed
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup chopped pecans optional
- ¼ cup dried cranberries optional
Place all ingredients into a jar and mix well to combine.
Place in the refrigerator, covered, for at least 3 hours or overnight. Serve cold with additional chopped pecans, if desired.
- Make sure to buy gluten-free oats if you need to avoid gluten. While oats don't contain any gluten, they can sometimes be processed in the same facility / equipment as wheat products.
- Use whatever milk your family enjoys, such as almond milk, oat milk or dairy milk. If you use only eggnog, the oats will be too thick.
- Now not all eggnog is "clean" but you can use a cleaner version, like Malk Organics, or use whatever eggnog you'd like. 'Tis the season!
