Equipment

  • 1 Large Oven-Safe Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter or extra-virgin olive oil for dairy-free and vegan options
  • 8 cloves garlic sliced
  • 2 pounds green beans trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the ghee for 1 minute over medium heat.
1/4 cup ghee or unsalted butter
  • Add the garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant, stirring to avoid burning.
    8 cloves garlic
  • Add the green beans and sauté, mixing often, for about 10 minutes, until fork tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
2 pounds green beans, 1 teaspoon fine sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Place an oven rack in the center of the oven and turn the broiler to high.
  • Place the skillet into the oven and broil the green beans for 3 to 5 minutes, until slightly crispy and browned, watching to avoid burning.

Notes

Storage:
  • Store leftovers in an airtight in the fridge for 1-2 days.
  • I don’t recommend it! They’re likely to become soggy once thawed.
