This Spiced Maple Rosemary Party Nuts recipe is sweet, savory, herbaceous, and completely irresistible. Quick and easy to make, it’s perfect for holiday parties, gifting, and everyday snacking!
Full of healthy fats and given a boost of protein from the egg whites, these roasted nuts are gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and Paleo, too!
What Are Party Nuts?
As you might guess, party nuts are a roasted nut mix commonly served at parties. You can find endless varieties, featuring different nuts, mix-ins, and seasonings. However, for this homemade party nuts recipe, we stuck with a classic combination of sweet and spicy flavors.
Coated in seasonings and roasted until fragrant and golden brown, the nuts come out crisp, slightly caramelized, and unbelievably delicious.
I love to add them to holiday charcuterie boards. Or, they’re great to wrap up and give away as tasty gifts!

- Egg White: This adds a boost of protein, allows the seasonings to stick to the nuts, and creates the crispy exterior we want.
- Maple Syrup: Adds a touch of sweetness. If preferred, honey will also work.
- Vanilla Extract: I use homemade vanilla extract, but store-bought varieties are totally fine, too.
- Fresh Rosemary: Finely minced, this adds a pop of brightness for a well-rounded taste.
- Spices: Sea salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika add the perfect kick of spice. Feel free to adjust as needed to suit your flavor preferences!
- Raw Unsalted Nuts: Use any combination of nuts you like best such as almonds, walnuts, pecans, and cashews.

How to This Make Spiced Maple Rosemary Party Nuts Recipe
- Beat: Add the egg white and water to a small bowl, and beat until frothy.
- Mix: In a second bowl, whisk the maple syrup, vanilla, rosemary, salt, cayenne, and paprika, if using.
- Coat: Toss the pecans in the egg white mixture. Then, transfer them to the spice mixture, and stir to combine and coat.
- Bake: Arrange the nuts in an even layer on a baking sheet. Roast in a preheated oven until they’re golden brown and fragrant, flipping every 10 to 15 minutes. Be careful not to let them burn!

Feel free to mix and match any ingredients you have on hand! Once cool, stir in dried fruit, chocolate chips, or coconut flakes. Or, swap the spices with cinnamon, sugar, or pumpkin pie spice. You can also use bourbon in place of vanilla, or swap the maple syrup with butter for a richer taste.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in a cool, dry place at room temperature for 1-2 weeks. If giving them away as Christmas gifts, I love to wrap them up in cute little jars tied with ribbon and a bow!
This nut mix features a bold, savory flavor, with a bit of a kick, but I wouldn’t consider it spicy. If you love spice, feel free to add more cayenne or paprika as you see fit!

Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary finely minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt sprinkle more at the end
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne optional
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3-4 cups raw unsalted mixed nuts of choice cashews, walnuts, peanuts, almonds, etc.
Instructions
- Beat the egg and water: In a bowl, beat together the egg white and water until frothy.1 egg white, 1 teaspoon water
