Homemade Asian Ginger Salad Dressing Recipe
In my opinion, it’s just always better to make your own salad dressing.
Why? Because It’s cheaper, it tastes better, and you know exactly what’s going into it.
This ginger dressing is one of my favorite condiments to make at home. It’s made with simple ingredients that pack a serious punch of flavor… and you can put it on anything. Pasta, veggies, salad, seafood, chicken, pork, tofu, etc.
I wouldn’t even blame you if you wanted to eat it out of the bowl with a spoon, because it really is just that good.
What is Ginger Dressing Sauce Made Of?
- Ginger: I recommend using fresh ginger because it gives the best flavor. Be sure to peel it, then grate it for the dressing.
- Oil: Avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil will work.
- Coconut Aminos: Coconut aminos is an excellent gluten-free alternative to soy sauce.
- Dijon Mustard: Adds a kick of heat to the dressing.
- Honey: Offsets the spice with a touch of sweetness.
- Garlic: Again, fresh is best so that you get the best flavor.
- Salt and Pepper: Add just a pinch of salt and pepper, both to taste.
How to Make Ginger Dressing
This homemade Asian ginger salad dressing comes together in a total of 5 minutes!
- Combine: In a small bowl, combine all of the dressing ingredients. Whisk to mix.
- Blend (optional): If you prefer a smoother dressing, transfer the dressing to a blender and blend for 5 seconds.
Pro Tip!
Feel free to play around with the flavors in this dressing so it’s made just how you like it. Once it’s finished, taste and adjust as needed.
Additionally, if you like a spicier dressing, try adding in a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or a little bit of Sriracha.
Ginger Pro Tip
Freeze peeled ginger! It grates super easy and then you always have it handy!
