You can remove the core of the iceberg lettuce and just have the leaves ready to use. Grasp the head of lettuce with both hands and bump the core firmly directly down on your counter top. You may need to do this more than once, but check after the first bump. This loosens the core and you can twist it slightly and the entire core will lift right out. I can’t wait to make these lettuce wraps. Thanks for the video. It really helped.

  2. Have you ever seen vids of people rolling compound butter and using a sheet pan to make the roll super taut? Wonder if that would work here. I’m going to have to try it!

  3. Made it, loved it- first try wasn’t very neat a little messy to eat. Any tips for folding in lettuce edges?

    Thanks for sharing this!

  4. Looks good! but I am genuinely curious how turkey can be organic?

    *Spoiler it can’t
*Another Spoiler: Just because something is organic, it doesn’t change the nutritional value or make it “healthier”

    1. Also, nobody said organic made it healthier 🙂 Often though it’s not sprayed with chemicals and things!

  5. Oops!!! After writing this, I realized that the “Baby Lettuce” mix in my fridge might have romaine in it. And so it does — out she goes.

  6. Lexi, i love lettuce wraps. I have been wanting to make them for my husband so he will stop eating bread. His work doesn’t allow to stop and eat healthy salad. He eats when he drives his work truck. I am going to try this method with pp and hopefully it will work. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial on how to do it! I LOVE IT !

    1. Hi Pam! You can try romaine, but trust us when we say they are hands down 10x better with iceberg! You get this great crunch with it that you can’t get with other lettuce!

  7. I really love this idea using lettuce instead of normal sandwich. It looks healthier and more attractive!!
I’m gonna try it for my rush lunch soonnnn ??

  8. The video was EXTREMELY helpful! Just reading the instructions I couldn’t see how I wouldn’t be eating parchment paper!! LOL!
